I agree with Javier , if you could uninstall or disable , do that .maybe it's the root of my battery drain?

I uninstalled QuickPick and ES a long time ago when they were sold to CM and DU respectively. More recently both were removed from the Play Store and if I recall correctly ES never managed to make its way back.Never had any issue with Zedge either. Or ES (they have a pretty fast search algorithm, especially when starting from /).
Yes, I'm not sure how it's working now, I uninstalled it a while ago. Maybe they changed a few things after the recent scare.Zedge is installed on my device & I never see it listed as running in the background. But I do restrict a lot of my app to not be able to run in the background if they are not used alot.
yes. that and privacy/tos did it for me tooZedge appeared as 'Always running (100%)'.
Wow, haven't used Zedge in several years.
It turns out that I didn't delete the app from one of my Android phones so there was an update to this app waiting for me. I updated it and so far it's not showing up in my battery stats at all. Also got the message, got scared and deleted it straight away - their wallpapers are not that great anymore - but I do use them alot for ringtones and message alert tones
Wonder if it's safe now again... do we trust them again.. or rather stay away...and if I stay away - where else can I download message alert tones... I do like to customize mine a lot
