Zenfone 2 Not Charging and Can't be open

Hi i i have my phone charged until 90% before i leave the office using the provided charger. then it works totally fine until i got home and i need to get some data from my phone and pass it to the computer using cable i bought from a store i plug it in a 3.0 usb (color blue) but before i use it the phone suddenly turn off and I can't open it anymore and it's not charging!!! please help me on this asap. i just recently bought this 2 weeks ago

Does the included cable from ASUS work at all or is the phone totally dead and won't turn on? Where did you get the phone, if you got it on Amazon.com I would send it back as defective and get another one. I have been using the Samsung rapid charger and cable on my since that is what's connected for microUSB on my bedside so I know it works. USB 3.0 is backwards compatible but someone would be messing it up.

If you have tested with different USB cable & charger, and still unable to power up, it will require sending in for warranty service.

So here we have a thread by someone whose phone charges perfectly well using the supplied adapter and cable which they leave at work and at home is using a cable bought at a store that is unlikely to be original equipment which doesn't work.

This sounds like a non oem cable problem to me as the Asus cable works fine. Try some different cables.

Never use a third rate cable. use only what Asus supplies you with.

Hey,

You should use only Asus provided cable to charge your device or to connect it via USB any other might not work or malfunction.
