Zenithink c71 usb keyboard issue

Hi,
I recently bought the Zenithink C71 Upgrade tablet containing Android ICS.

I bought this USB keyboard case:

and this mini-USB adapter:

When I plug the keyboard in to either the Host or Dev USB ports, it is not recognized so nothing happens when I type. I've read a couple places about changing some kind of USB bus setting, but I'm not sure where that would be located. I almost wonder if the adapter could be the problem. Do I not have the right type? Anyone have ideas?

I also just bought a C71 - and was going to get a Keyoard/Case. What did you find out about your problem. thanks
