ZTE Axon 7 review - Android Authority

The Axon 7 leads the way in terms of affordable flagships and aside from one drawback, delivers in every department. ZTE scores another first with an excellent smartphone that’s compatible with all major US networks. With the Axon 7, ZTE raises the bar substantially for premium, affordable flagships by delivering an excellent smartphone with very few compromises, even next to the very best.

Re: The Comprehensive Reviews Have Begun

That's fantastic news. I think I'd like phone a lot, I'd just rather have a bigger screen.

I wonder if they actually popped a Verizon SIM in it.

The AA review is very promising. I can't wait to to get the phone in hand. Glad I paid for next day shipping.

I preordered mine from Best Buy. The ZTE website now says a shipping date of 9/9 for the gold model in the US. I guess there has been some demand. Hopefully I can pick mine up on Friday.

Good luck with those lock screen notifications. Seem quite ridiculous.

I saw that too. That is ridiculous. Makes no sense. I don't think that would keep me from buying it though.

From the PC mag article, "I tested the phone primarily on AT&T, but I was able to use data and make voice calls on Verizon as well."

I torn between this and the Idol 4s, which I have pre-ordered already. Hoping for some good smack down reviews.

It doesn't show notifications on the lock screen unless you press a little icon that looks like a bell.

But what is nice about that is when playing music your lock screen isn't cluttered with notification only album art work of the playing music unless you decide.

That is actually a good point. I've cussed at my phone for making me read my emails when I just wanted to skip a song.
