ZTE Maven notification ringtone changed and I can't change it back

A few days ago my texting ringtone changed from the Zedge one I had assigned to just a low boop. It still makes the Zedge notification sound when I get a voice mail or an email. I go into settings from both the menu and from the messaging menu and it keeps saying it's a different tone from Zedge and no matter how often I change it as soon as I exit it changes back.
