ZTE Radiant ATT no wifi connection

I am having a problem with my new ZTE Radiant ATT goPhone.

Wifi cannot be turned on. I have it switched on and have rebooted and even removed the battery and still no wifi. Simply says out of range, which it isnt since my other Android is logged in to the router.

Yes I am able to slide wifi to the on position, not greyed out.
