ZTE Z3315S USB-C power jack doesn't accept USB-C plugs

I have a ZTE Z3315S (Quest 5) phone According to the specs, it has a USB-C power jack. Every replacement cord I've bought with a USB-C plug has had a plug that's too wide for the jack, How can I find a power cord that fits my phone? I'm tired of opening sealed packages only to find that the standard plug doesn't fit--I've bought three off-the-shelf cords that don't fit. How can I be sure a cord will fit?

According to the official manual this device comes with a micro-USB port, NOT USB-C.
