ZVD --> ZVJ Error

So I was on ZVD rooted, CM9 and I wanted to switch to ZVJ to check out hydrorom. I used sfhub's thread, downloaded optiauto-sfx, and everything seemed like it was going great. Except, when I tried to apply sdcard:update.zip, it kept saying installation aborted. So I rebooted and I was able to reboot fine, except I'm still on cm9 with zvd, except I have stock zvj recovery. Any ideas on what I should do?
I would also like to add that the baseband is "unknown".

How did you install ZVJ recovery while still on CM9?

It always says 'unknown' in baseband on cm9. If you still have data and signal on cm9 then you're still on zvd.

I'm thinking you missed something and tried flashing the zvj update.zip with xionia, right? That's why it said installation aborted. You should have stock recovery before flashing the zvj update.

Try going through it again and let us know.

Yeah I still have both, but no I tried flashing the zvj update.zip with stock recovery, I don't have xionia anymore is what it looks like. I'll try the whole process again and see what happens. Thanks.

After Main menu Option B, Step A, you are supposed to have the stock ZVJ recovery. This is a special recovery that will allow the root to work. After Step A you will also have the ZVJ update.zip on your phone's external sdcard.

Can you tell me what error you are getting when you try and apply:update.zip from stock recovery?

It wasn't giving me an error at all, I looked at that thing like 100 times. I'm guessing it was a lack of space because when I checked my storage I had 7 mb left on the phone for whatever reason. I deleted one of my old nandroids and retried the process and it worked so thanks for the help

Ok read the instructions because that's what I used to root my phone. All you have to do is option a. Then from there to root read the directions

I did the same thing just revert to stock vd and root. Then start the update process to zvj again.
