Zygot3 1.5 is out.

If anybody else is leaning towards the Zygot3 roms during this early stage of rom development for the Nexus, then you should definitely check out the new version. I just finished flashing it and am now restoring my apps and data.

Apparently, he's using a different kernel in this one than the 1.4 build and he has fixed the Google+ FC issue. After the restore is complete, I'll do some stability testing.

If anyone is interested in this rom, it is very stable. Everything is smooth. I haven't noticed any real issues. It seems that most of the bugs from the previous versions have been fixed.

Flashed a few hours ago and have been very pleased. I really like the added settings in the notification bar and the added choices when holding the power button down. I kinda have been bouncing around between roms the last few days and this is one of the best IMO.

Dammit.. Th3ory is a god amongst devs... I've been on Trans3k since last night.. love it but now after catching up on the Zygot3 thread at rootzwiki I think I might have to switch.. and I was just getting comfortable too

Why didn't anyone warn me how much dev support this phone would have?? Poor phone doesn't even get 24 hrs without being wiped and flashed with something else!

The wipe data is the bummer thing about flashing.

So true. Biggest reason I bought this phone was the community behind any Nexus but it's getting overwhelming. The DInc had a few good AOSP roms and a few good Sense roms at the end of its life and the GNex already has a few modified roms with countless AOSP and CM9 builds. And this isn't even counting all the mods out right now.

Regarding Zygot3 I tried it and everything seems to be pretty good, but I'm gonna stick to Revolution for a while as it's really stable for me and has been working fine. Plus I can't find a 1% battery indicator that works for Zygot3, not that I looked very hard.

Nope only for the 1.5 install. Going from 1.5 >1.6 only needs cache and dalvik wipe and a /system format.

I know it has the option to remove the built in google search bar.... but does anyone know if there is a way to get the space back after removing it? ....same way that xda mod worked.

its a nice rom but the volume + doesnt work on it and the effects dont work for the music. my phone is low enough as it is and the volume+ really helped, same thing with the music, the sound was low and with the effects it helped out alot. hope they fix it

You are correct thanks...yeah those data wipes were a drag. There are so many roms now, my head is spinning. Oh and 1.7 is out now, updates coming out too fast. Theory took out the part where only system format was needed. So I guess data wipe is on again.

You look at the changelogs and the improvements in each update is impressive. That theory guy is a monster!
Mods: maybe we can merge these zygot threads and just discuss in one thread instead of opening up a whole new thread each time an upgrade comes out. I will be sticking with this rom, so would be good to discuss in one thread instead of the "1.5 thread".

I'm not familiar with theory's work as I have never owned a phone he has devved for. But just seeing how polished zygot is and how fast updates come out, I am on the boat for the long haul.
What phones has he been involved with previously? And getting a phone for a dev is awesome.

He has sick roms for the bionic that's when I was introduced to him.. I believe he worked on the tbolt and maybe more before..currently he also works on the razr and technically the bionic but I think he's pretty much done with the bionic lol..he is worth switching phones for haha

Guys I'm having a major problem and need help fast. I flashed 1.6 last night and ever since, I don't have any mobile data. Im able to make and receive calls and texts but cant use the internet or anything else. Hence, no 3g or 4g. I've tried everything. I'm at a loss. Please help! Thank you so much.
