Cell South is very regional as it is still a private comapany...located in the deep south, based in the Mississippi Gulf, the first link says CellCom...not the same

Edit...spoke too soon, different regional carriers but they both are the "showcase" and CDMA. both cellcom ans cell south sites claim OS as 2.2 as of today

If it can be done, the devs will do it. Who knows when though, as that tells s they don't know when yet.

^^^ Exactly this. Nitsuj17 said yes, it can be helpful since it is CDMA. But the only thing that will be helpful is if Samsung releases the source code to the regional carrier and the regional carrier releases it to the public. Nitsuj seemed skeptical a regional carrier would get source code, so just the software being pushed out OTA to the phones does not help development. Plus as atomD21 pointed out, there is no indication whatsoever when Cell com will actually get this GB release.
