Videos on the Fascinate

I was wondering what file format videos on the SD card have to be in on order to be recognized by the phone. I have tried MPEG-2 and x264.

Thoughts?

Hit the menu button during the video, then hit the high quality option.

Wow, thanks hanano17 big difference. Do you know anywhere to download movies besides Blockbuster? I looked in Android Market but couldn't find any.

I've also noticed that the stock video player won't show videos in their native resolution if they're not 16:9 but will vertically stretch them. Any way to fix this or just switch to a different player?
