I have the appropriate options checked debugging etc and the PC recognizes the phone.I can browse, drag and drop etc. but Casual will not see the device whether I am connected as an installer or media device or camera.
Any suggestions?
Model: SCH-J535
Android Version 4.1.2
Baseband: J535VRBMF1
Kernel: 3.0.31-1152558
Would like to root but stuck here.
Oh yeah just got the phone yesterday and I'm pretty sure some OTA update installed automatically unfortunately-could that have killed Casual root access?
Thanks all.

Did you check allow install from unknown sources in the security section?

Yes all options are checked.I tried option #2 today and the RootDebugfs completed but errors were running across the screen the whole time.Permission denied.I have the Superuser app now but I can't unlock bootloader.Tells me I am not rooted.I re-booted and tried to unlock bootloader again,no dice. Not sure what to do.
