Ok I did it using SlimBean. It booted but the only issue is that there is no google play store - how do I get that back? I am going to try and flash paranoid as well to see what it holds. Haven't tried the Fit Gear yet...
So all of the superuser, CWM manager are all gone?

Just tried Paranoid Android, didn't even get past the start up screen. Going to do a restore backup.

yup rebooted and everything is back to normal. Except I am still using 4.1.2...

This just reinforced why Nandroids are so important.
Ok, back at it. I need to find a build that is going to be jellybean 4.3 or KitKat 4.4 that will work with the S2 GT-i9100. Is there a stable ROM out there that has been tested on this phone?

Have you tried the CM 11 link? That is a nightly, meaning it works, but there might be bugs (probably minor).

Standard should be fine. Nightly means there might be bugs. Usually minor, but still there. I usually run night lies and have very little trouble with them.
I tried one of the CM mods and it told me my keyboard was disabled?!?! Is that a GAPPs issue or the ROM?

Strange. Probably the ROM. You can force a download of a keyboard on the desktop version of Play.
