Phone: Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T
Platform: MIUI Global 12.5.5 Stable
Android 11 RKQ1.201004.002
Android security update 2022.05.01

For some time now (not sure how long) the System apps updater fails to respond. See photo. Sometimes it will launch but then fail to install updates. Sometimes it will not launch at all.

Q1 - Is anyone else having this problem?
Q2 - Is it possible for the user to fix it or is it a problem at Xiaomi end?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you.
Yes it happens on both WiFi and mobile data.
No, I do not use a VPN.

I have rebooted the phone.
I have tried to force-stop the app but that option is not available.

Yes, I tried steps in the article. Because it is a system app (not an app I installed) the force-stop menu is not shown so I can't force-stop it. I cleared all caches using the 'Cleaner' app that came installed with the phone.
The system apps updater in the apps list has the same issue as in message #1 and there is no way to access 'Clear data' or 'Force-stop' it. It launches but is then frozen and cannot do anything apart from tapping the Home button to exit it.

Update - I think the app updated itself and it seems okay now. It wasn't anything I did. Xiaomi must have done a fix. Watch this space.

@mustang7757 - For future use how does one report problems to the manufacturer? Is there a link that you can point us to?

Thanks. The c.mi.com link was okay but be warned about the xiaomist link. My Norton 360 threw up a security alert. See photo: -

There's a Services and Feedback as the last Setting on the bottom. I sent about 5, a year ago. I got one reply when asking about a 6 month gap in updates. "Dear customer, Please be patient."

You can switch on Logs there also.

The more reports of one issue ..., although it takes time as they have so many models to update.

My duplicate account queries were handled by a Chat communication.. somewhere.. at least I think so.

I didn't have the System Apps Updater issue, but figured it would resolve.
