Data usage details just for today?

I noticed that I used about 2MB of my T-Mobile data and I go into my data usage on my Nexus 5 but I can no longer just view the data for today. I clicked every option possible but it just shows me from Feb 1 till now. I hope this is not another feature removed from Lollipop if so any other apps can achieve what Kitkat use to.

There are a lot of data usage apps that can show the usage for a particular day - 3G Watchdog is one of them.

What's the difference between the free and pro version? Does the free version contain ads?

I haven't used it for a long time, because I can't come close to using all my data, but as I recall, no. The free version works and gives you what you want and more (today, weekly, the period, which is usually 30 days, etc.)
