My galaxy s5 active won't update.

I recently purchased my Samsung Galaxy s5 active from metro pcs. It came with stock android version 4.4.2 and when I try to update it, it's says already up to date. The very recent android 6.0.1 supposedly already available, but can't update to it. Is it not available for my device yet?

Yes, apparently Metro PCS has not released your carrier branded version yet. You'd need to contact them to see if they will be supporting the updgrade.
