So I have a galaxy note 7. I have tried various amount of security programs over the years. On this phone I deleted/disabled Verizon security, I also tried 360. I am not sure I like it and it didn't prevent what I had hoped.

I keep getting a pop-up called something like s3.amazonez. click this and then a webpage pops up for twcable something. I just try and x out of the page. I have looked it up and heard various people saying download this app or whatever and may people saying those app are a joke.

Any ideas on keeping my phone secure. Btw it's not like I was on a Russian porn site. Although I had several sites up across chrome I was going to ESPN. And it also happens on Samsung browser. Thought about Firefox but not if I am in the same boat.

Adware isn't a security problem, it's an adware problem. It could be caused by a security issue, or it could be caused by Verizon Security being disabled (or any of a few other things). It's like complaining about red traffic lights - everyone gets some.

To me malware/adware/virus. All a security issue. Anything unwanted. But that was my question, Verizon or otherwise, what would help.

What is this happening on. Chrome? If so and your on Verizon find chrome and clear the cache and disable it. It will uninstall any updates installed and disable it's self. Restart your phone and enable chrome again. My mother in law had the same problem fixed hers.
