Gmail Update

Sorry still new to Android.

Running 2.2on my EVO.
I go to the marketplace, menu, downloads. Gmail is not listed to update?
I'm running it right now so I now it is there. Do I just install over it, or is something already Fubar'ed?

naw you're good.

install it through the market, it will replace your old one and you'll get updates through the market going forward.

apps that come stock on the device won't know there is an update available, so sometimes you'll need to download them in the market (this really only applies to google apps like maps and gmail... basic apps like "music player" will update with the OS, not very often).

You're in good shape.
