How to make MyMaps offline

Hi all,

I've made 2 maps(with google my maps) for my trip at Italy with some layers for to visit, shopping, eat etc. Could I make em offline, because I don't planning to have mobile data and only working with WiFi.
Do you have any ideas how to solve that problem?

I experimented with this the other day. I saved a portion of downtown Dallas TX. I tried to save Dallas but it was too large. Also, when you zoom in many street names are missing.
1. Open the Google Maps app.
2. Type in location like Venice.
3. Zoom into area you want.
4. Tap location field (Venice in this case)
5. An option will appear to save offline.

BTW, I checked and Italy is supported.
