AC Question

Dealer installed Android Auto to update the system in the car. Downloaded Android Auto to my LG Nexus 4 running 5.1.1 but car does not recognize. Dealer said I need to use a USB "C" cable. Is this correct or am I missing something?

Dealer didn't know what they were talking about. The Nexus 4 uses microUSB, not USB-C.

Theoretically it should work — I haven't actually tried with an N4 though. Can give it a shot later this week.

In my experience the dealers usually know next to nothing about the tech in their own cars. I always know more than them because I actually read about it, unlike them apparently. Also in my experience the dealer will tell you (make up) just about anything to get you out of their hair, especially if they don't see a money making potential from your problem.
