its been a while since my last post but i thought this was the best place for help.
so i was browsing this (random google for some info on the game):
Screenshot_2014-01-22-02-35-37.png

Clicked on one of the links at the bottom and after a few pages (as it was one of those multi page things where you have to click next to see the next one and received the following:
Screenshot_2014-01-22-02-34-46.png Screenshot_2014-01-22-02-34-39.png Screenshot_2014-01-22-02-34-28.png

Now EVERYTHING about it says dodgy to me but i just wanted to check with you guys is it just a fake popup/page redirect (in the middle of my reading) or is there potentially something dodgy on my phone? i was going to run a scan with one of the apps from the google app store but many of them i do not recognise so am a little weary.

If you don't have a virus app in your device then its almost certainly an ad spam or other means of getting you to click and download.

Whichever may have been what, any time I see anything like that I leave the site. If they put fake stuff like that on their site, I don't trust anything on it.

Gotta agree with you there on that one.
should i do anything with my phone or should everything be ok?

Welcome to Android Central! As long as you didn't actually accept any app download/installation, you should be ok. Those all look like annoying popup ads, which can't do anything bad.

I have to agree that it's an ad designed to get you, or the average user, to click on the link thinking it's an actual warning from the device. That's how malware and such is loaded in devices without you actually loading it. So as long as you didn't accept or download any files you should be in the clear.
