I have a four(!)-year-old Motorola Milestone (the Canadian name for the Droid I). This morning, the phone slipped out of my hand and dropped onto the floor. It must have severed a connection somewhere, because now the screen doesn't recognize any input. I can't even unlock the screen in order to use the physical keypad.
The phone is not rooted. (And, because of the above problem, I don't think I can root it now.)
I'm going to get a new phone, but I'd really like to be able to save some of the data that is stored in internal memory. (Not very much, just some text notes, but it's data that I could really use, and can't easily reconstruct.)
I *am* able to hook up my phone to a PC via USB, but that only gives me access to the SD card (which I have no problem getting access to in other ways, or even just physically transferring into the new phone).
Is there a way to get access to the internal memory via the USB port from a PC, or am I SOL?
