Phone won't turn on?

My phone doesn't want to turn on but it has that starting loading thing like "Google" but it gets interrupt then it off my phone (i have a Samsung galaxy nexus). Since my charging port is broken, i start using this method: The illegitimate way to charge your cell phone (do not try on iphone) - YouTube . I've use that method for over a month now. When i connect the cord to my battery, it works perfectly and i can go to my apps and all. But when its not connect, somehow it gets interrupt in that "Google" loading start-up thing and i cant go in my apps. I tried keeping the cord connected to my phone while its not plug to the AC, But it still doesnt work. It only work when its connected to my battery and the AC. Please help.. And i don't wanna get a new phone yet because my contract is finishing soon (December). And if i do cancel my contract, my mom has to pay a lot and yeah.. Please heeellppppp

I would highly recommend NOT doing this any longer.
