S4 Mini USB Issue

[AC Question]

So, recently I went to a trip in Brazil and I had to unlock my phone there. I only used my USB there to charge the phone, I didnt try to put any songs or whatever. After I came back, im having some issues with my phone, the USB connects to my laptop but I cant use it as a media and I dont know what to do.

Can someone help me?

Welcome to Android Central! Swipe down the notification shade, tap the USB connection notification, and see if you can select MTP there.

Does rebooting the phone help? How about booting into Recovery Mode and wiping the cache partition? Reset: Samsung Galaxy S 4 | T-Mobile Support

Another possibility is that the August Windows Updates might have messed things up. There's a known issue for Nexus devices, but not sure about Samsung. See these threads about it:
