Google sync issue

I recently got a new Galaxy S5 from Verizon. I have noticed some weird sync issue with Google where some contacts are not showing on my phone.

Created contact on phone and selected the Google option so that it would link to my Google account. The contact showed on both my phone and Google account. I then edited the contact (i.e. added an address) in my Google account using my PC (not my phone). The contact is now not showing on my phone.

Is this a known issue? I have found some threads talking about syn issues, but not described to this detail.

Welcome to Android Central! That's odd. Go to Settings>Accounts-Google>[your Google account], and look at Contacts--when does it say is the last time it successfully synced? Or is there a Sync Error? Try unchecking it, then checking it again, and allow it to sync. Now look again for that contact on your phone--is it there now?
