Play store app is not on the phone

[AC Question]

I have two identical phones Samsung Infuse 4G. I downloaded the free app "Yahoo Mail" on the first phone, and everything was OK. Two days later, I tried to do the same with the second (my wife's) phone, but there was no this app in the Google play store any more. I opened this Google Play Store site on my PC, and I could see that app on their web site, but there is no this app on the phone. Please advise what is going on.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you just not seeing the Play Store shortcut on the homescreen, or is it gone from the App Drawer? Can you find it in the App Manager?

Welcome to Android Central! What phone do you have? It didn't come with the Play Store preinstalled? If so, that means the phone isn't certified for Google Play, so trying to manually install it may lead to compatibility problems. If you want to try, search Google for "Google Play Store apk" (usually on AndroidPolice.com), download it to your phone, and install it.
