Motorola mini start up

All of a sudden when I turn off my Motorola droid mini and plug it in to charge...it turns back on on it's own. If I turn it off while the charger plug is plugged in it turns back on. This did not happen in the past. What has happened?

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Developer Options (if it's been enabled on your phone), and make sure "Stay Awake" is unchecked.

My settings does not have an option of "Developer Options"

It probably hasn't been activated, in which case that's not what's causing the problem. You can activate your Developer Options by going to Settings>About Phone, and tapping Build Number 7 times.

Does your power button feel loose or mushy at all?

Update...all is well again. If I turn off the phone and wait a while before plugging in the charger the phone does not turn on. Thanks for the help and info on how to get Developer Options.
