Yesterday, I updated my phone and my entire gallery was deleted. I have Droid Razr Maxx HD. All other photos downloads, instagrams, photos from messaging are still intact, but the 900+ photos in my gallery are gone. Does anyone know how to recover these?

Welcome to Android Central! What kind of update was it--an over-the-air system update? That shouldn't affect photos, so that's odd. Were the photos stored in Internal Storage or on an external SD card? Have you used a file manager app to look directly at the /DCIM/Camera folder? Maybe the Gallery app just isn't registering the photos for some reason. Also, look at Settings>Storage, and check the Photos category--does it seem more compatible with 900+ photos, or much fewer?
