Why would the batter read 100 percent but show only 34m 45s ?

Samsung Tab S - Why would the batter read 100 percent but show only 34m 45s ? When I take it off the charger within 15mins I get a warning to charge and it only shows about 15percent charge.

Sounds as if the battery is gone. Lithium Ion batteries normally last about 18-24 months. If you really treat them well - conditioning them if they haven't been used in a while (that means when you get the tab, because you don't know how long it's been since it was last charged) and charging at the 40%-60% point (see Battery University - How to Prolong Lithium-based Batteries for more information) they can last a lot longer. My V551 - circa 2004 - is still running on its original battery. But if you regularly drain the battery until the phone tells you to charge it - typically 5% to 10% charge left - it won't last 24 months.

Perhaps the battery is failing.
If not, try calibrating it.
