HTC one mini is detecting headphones but not playing music through them, any solutions?

I've tried all usual remedies. Cleaned out the jack, adjusted volume, tried other headphones, turned beats on and off but no luck

Welcome to Android Central! Did this just start? Any recent trauma, drops, or water exposure? Are all of the headphones you're trying basic headphones without a mic or remote controls? If not, make sure you try a basic set of headphones. If all of the headphones you've tried are designed for iPhones, then there might be incompatibility.

I assume you've already tried rebooting. A factory data reset would be a last resort. Ultimately, it may be that the jack is defective or damaged.
