Can hackers retrieve or delete my personal videos on my smartphone?

I recently uploaded a video on NQ Vault mobile app, that safely stores such data. But when i tried playing the video through the app, i could not, because i think the video has been deleted, but not by me. The size of video only showed 0 MB.

Welcome to Android Central! Which device do you have? Did you upload the video to the Vault cloud storage, or did you just hide it on the phone? Was the video in Internal Storage or on an external SD card? If the latter, it may be more of an SD corruption issue than a hacking issue.
