how do I get rid of previous provider

I purchased an HTC One M8 on eBay that was unlocked, but it was apparently originally purchased through Verizon. It runs fine on my current provider, but I'd like to get rid of all the Verizon identity and stuff that I guess came on the phone originally. How do I do that?
