Why i cant change my ringtone?

I am having nexus 5 and yesterday I have upgraded my phone to Lollipop and after upgrading only default ringtone rings when i receive any call despite of changing to any other ringtone. Please suggest. I try everything but still can not change it. It shows the phone ringtone is which i want but when someone call me its default ringtone.

Welcome to Android Central! When you go to Settings>Sound>Phone Ringtone, tap on your selected ringtone. Does it play correctly? Do you want it to play a custom ringtone that you added, or just some other stock ringtone? I wonder if it is displaying the correct ringtone, but somehow playing the wrong tone. If that's the case, I would go to your Ringtones folder with a file manager, delete your custom ringtone, then go through the whole process again of adding that custom ringtone back to the Ringtones folder. Then go back to the Settings menu to select that ringtone again.
