On my Galaxy S4, why has Google Play Services Failed?

Galaxy S4 Google Play Services Fail

I just had to reset the password on my Google account and, upon trying to sign back in to GMail I got the error that Google Play services had stopped working. So I shut down my phone and restarted it... same issue. Tried using Chrome to find a solution... same issue. Tried playing an app... same issue.

So I tried clearing the cache for the Google Play services as well as the data, but that was not effective. I tried booting in safe mode, still no luck. My phone is feeling a bit useless, but hey, I can still use it as a flashlight, so there's that.

Has anyone else run in to this issue? I'd been seeing it crash a bit more frequently recently, but now that I reset my password a minor nuisance has become a giant pain.

Not sure if this is the right topic category, if not please move appropriately.

EDITED: Solved the issue. Anyone looking for a solution try deleting your Google account from the phone and then setting it back up. Problem s-o-l-v-e-d.
