How can I access my galaxy S4 when fingerprint changed to alternate password in UPSM?

I recently changed my code to fingerprint, however as I did I couldn't really choose my alternate password. But now, yesterday, I set the phone into ultra power saving mode(UPSM). As I carried it in my pocket the phone must have tried the fingerprint a couple of times, causing my phone to lock itself. Now I'm stuck with a black screen showing me alternate password display and emergency call. I have tried restarting it, holding in the power button until flight, power and sound menu appears, and now I realised I can't access the phone through android device manager either, and am totally stuck.

Help please!

When the fingerprints are setup it does ask that a password be set in case the fingerprint can't be read etc. I don't know of a way to bypass both though. If there were it would point to very weak security by Samsung. You may have to reset the device.
