Can't get texts from m8 to vehicle
I am trying to get text messages to show up on my chevy mylink through bluetooth. I have paired the phone and phone calls/music work great but the text messaging capability does not. I have tried pairing multiple times and always allow all the settings but still no luck. I went to sprint and tried pairing a galaxy s5 with the truck and the text messaging worked. I have tried both my wifes and my m8's with no luck. I have a 2015 Chevrolet Colorado with a sprint HTC m8. I have checked for updates on the phone and everything is up to date. I have even called HTC customer support but they were not much help. I am wondering if there is a setting I am missing somewhere?
Chevy Mylink stats that it "Requires a compatible smartphone with Bluetooth profile (M.A.P.) and applicable text messaging features." Reading up I have learned that kitkat 4.4 made M.A.P standard on devices but is there a way to turn it on and off?
