How to track a Nexus 4 with dead battery?

Can't find my Nexus 4 device, I tried to look for it with Android Device Manager tracker, but since the battery is actually dead by now, ADM does not track it, is there other way for me track it?

You can set a new Lock for the screen, along with an on-screen message of your choosing (I lost this, please call etc) and leave your contactable number which is displayed on a call button so all the finder has to do is press the button to speak to you on your alternate or a friends number.
This will only take effect if the phone is charged and data is resumed.

If you are more pessimistic about human nature, you can set it to wipe the phone instead.

I am not completely sure if you need location set on to achieve these, but fairly sure it needs to be on to locate it, if you plan to wait and keep trying that.
I would put the lock and message on it at least, you may still be able to locate it.
