Why does my google navigation app stop mid-trip?

I have a Samsung S3 and for some reason the google navigation app will just simply stop working mid-trip. My husband has the same phone, same app and this never happens to him, so I'm assuming it's a setting on my phone. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

Do you mean Google Maps? Go to settings - apps and find Maps in the "all" tab. Tap on it, clear cache and force stop. If you clear data you'll lose all routes and personal information inside the app.

Reboot the phone and open Maps again. See if that helps.
