How can I log into my phone if my fingerprint swipe doesn't work?

Can't log onto my phone

When I tried to swipe my fingerprint, it would not accept it, then it asked for my alternative password which is denied over and over again. I'm at a loss as what to do next.

I've tried to use the android device manager but I'm not having any luck. My finger print was not recognized, then my alternative password was not recognized (to be honest, I'm not 100% sure what that is as it's not the same as my PIN). I've logged into my samsung account to see if I could go that route but no luck. I've read the forums and still no luck. I have tried several times on the Android Device Manager to set up lock and erase but again, no luck. Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
