Why aren't photos sent from my iPad to my smart phone not going through?

Photos sent from IPad to smart phone not going through

She seems to be the only person on my list that is unable to get photos from me. She gets them from other people ok. From me she gets a gray icon with a lightening bolt through it.
I don't have a clue as to what is going on.

Welcome to Android Central! Did she used to have an iPhone? If so, did she remember to completely deactivate iMessage before switching to her Android device?
