Why does my note 4 doesnt charge from external battery?

i have an 50 000 mAh external battery with two outputs (one 2.1 A and one 1 A )and tryied to charge my note 4 but with no succes. the led's from external battery shows me that the phone is charging, but the phone shows me that it doesnt. ive tryied on another samsung, i got the same result, tryied with other phones, sony, htc etc and it works. is there something that i should do in the settings on the note 4? thank you

No, the phone doesn't car what the source is - battery, wall charger, solar panel - 5 volts will charge it.

Are you sure the external battery is fully charged (at least overnight)? An almost discharged battery will show that th phone is plugged in, but won't have enough current available for the phone to charge.
