How do you send texts to multiple recipients at the same time on the Moto G?

I have tried to send the same text to multiple people at the same time on my Moto G but I seem unable to figure out how to get a box to check for my contacts.

Welcome to Android Central! You have to initiate a group text by starting a new message and selecting multiple recipients. And make sure mobile data is on, because a group text is sent as an MMS message, which doesn't go over voice signal or wi-fi.

It's easy with the stock messages, unless your carrier changed it.

Open the msm app, tap on the + icon top right, tap on the "to" bar and find your contact, repeat that for more contacts.
