Plugged to charge, went off and doesn't turn on - How to recover media from it? (NEXUS 5)

AC Question

Hi,
I plugged my phone (NEXUS 5) in a friend's charger and it went off immediately, not turning on ever again. My greatest concern is my media in it so I was looking for a way to access its memory somehow without turning it on or having to change pieces of it which would imply in losing my pictures.

Is there a way to do so?

I am located in Brazil, sent my phone to a local authorized LG technical assistance store and they say they have to change a piece of hardware and "update the software", which would in the end erase all my pictures. It looks like the charger burned down something in the power circuit.

Thanks for the help.

Welcome to Android Central! Ugh. I think you're out of luck. I don't believe there's an easy way to retrieve locally stored data from a completely dead device, unless you want to spend hundreds or even thousands on a forensic data recovery specialist. You didn't back up or sync those photos anywhere?
