My Galaxy s3 will turn off or on if I'm not extremely gentle with my phone, how do I fix this?

I feel a drop has messed up my phone in a way. If I keep the phone in my pocket it will turn off and on sometimes. Even when holding it my hand it can turn off on me. An important note is that the power button on the side is extremely sensitive now. If my finger grazes that button the screen will lock without the button actually being pushed in. Even without touching the button though the phone will turn off. Is this something that can be fixed? I have some tools to handle the tiny components of the phone and was wondering if and how I could fix this issue.
