I set up several apps on my new Samsung s5. I'm a new android user so this is a learning curve for me. I'm trying to edit several of the apps' permissions but am not sure how to do it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    In short, you can't.

M (the new version of Android that was announced last month but won't be available until later this year) will change this. An application tells the system what permissions it needs at the time of install. You get a pop-up when you tap on install, that tells you what permissions the app will get and it's an all-or-nothing deal. You either allow those or you don't get the app, and you can't add on more.

Welcome to the forums. When M comes around for you, be careful which things you turn off. It might make the app misbehave.
