Why is my phone frozen continuously saying "Launcher isn't responding"?

So I've had my Moto X phone for just about a year and a half now and it's been perfect until today. I sent out a text and then a minute later I go to check my phone and this problem occurs. It started by a message saying "Launcher isn't responding. Do you want to close it?" and if I hit OK it would just make the screen unresponsive except for the home, back, and recent apps buttons. If I would hit wait it would hang on an unresponsive screen just like hitting OK until about 20 seconds passed and then pop up again over and over again. I've tried restarting it multiple times and clearing the cache on launcher, but no go yet. Has anyone dealt with this and knows how to fix it?

Welp deleting the Launcher data seemed to do the trick though, so all good!

Also it seemed to be my Yahoo Weather widget was causing the issue. When I was dragging back all the apps the widget, when placed, instantly froze my phone and said it stopped responding.
