I'd be interested in buying the new Zenpad S 8 Z580CA, except I don't want to depend on ASUS to release Google security patches via ASUS' proprietary updates of Android. ASUS and other vendors providing proprietary Android versions can't be depended on to release updates in a timely way, nor can they be depended on to relase updates for 2-3 year old products at all.

Therefore, I'd like to find a way to install "pure" Google Android on the Zenpad, and thereafter receive Android updates directly from Google. Is this likely to be possible?
