my tablet says unfortunately your UI has stopped. what does this mean and how do i fix it

my tablet will not open it get stucck after the graphics and will not start. this message just all of a sudden appeared. i do not understand what UI is what it does and need to know if i can fix it.

UI stands for User Interface. Basically your tablet is saying it can't open what you normally look at when you use your tablet.

What kind of tablet do you have? How old is it... when did you buy it?
