Can I make my art contract phone a Verizon prepaid ?

I had a contract with att and I didn't pay my bill because their carrier is too exspensive .so they turned it off. So I want to know is there anyway I could turn it in to a Verizon prepaid ? It is a Galaxy S4 from At&T
