How do I move calendar details from my former Droid Razr to my new Droid Maxx?

The events contained in my calendar on my former Droid Razr constitute the last 3 years and about 2 years going forward of MY LIFE! That calendar version is 4.1.2-5. As the phone was not holding battery charge and freezing often, Verizon Wireless (my cell phone service) told me that was happening because it did not & could not have updated software. So, now I have had my Droid Maxx for approximately a week. It's calendar version is 4.44-3. I have not been able to move my calendar events from the Razr to the Maxx through my Google account. I keep the Razor plugged in to be able to reference my events. Short of having to re-enter EVERYTHING, what should I try/be doing differently? Thank you!

Is there any kind of export option on the old cal app?

Check Google Calendar. Are they there? If not, sync the old phone's calendar, then sync the new phone's calendar. If they are, just sync the new phone's calendar.

Its been a while since I've been on Verizon, but they used to have an application that you could download that would snatch your events and contacts and such and dump them to a file so you can xfer them to a new phone. That wouldn't be available, would it?
